Kids Wood Story
A play venue with a street of wooden shop fronts, a stage, an airplane and a train

Where Stories Come to Life

A whole story street for 540 to 4,300 sq ft (50 to 400 m²), or up to 8,600 sq ft (800 m²) with the cafe. Children read it, watch it, live it on your stage, take it home, and come back for the next chapter.

Most play spaces are exciting once.

Ours has a next chapter.

Families return when something new is waiting. Kids Wood Story gives you a story world that keeps moving, so the second visit is better than the first.

Why this is needed

Families want a place worth coming back to. Owners need a reason for them to return.

The street you grew up on

Parents born between 1985 and 1995 remember the corner store, the paper route, the soda fountain and the telephone on the wall. Every parent dreams of giving their child a childhood like that.

So we built that street. It is timeless on purpose: real wood, hand-painted signs, no trends to go out of date. Parents walk in and smile. Children walk in and play.

Parents showing their child a wooden corner store

Not plastic. A world with meaning.

Instead of playing without purpose in an ordinary plastic play area, children become part of a wooden world with a story and a meaning.

They do not just play. They take on tasks, get to know the town and grow attached to the place, in the best way. That is what brings a family back.

What parents really need

A good place for children has to be a good place for parents too.

  • A comfortable cafe beside the wooden streetA cafe they enjoyA comfortable, pleasant cafe in the same style as the street, so parents relax while children play.
  • Parents and children at a show on the wooden stageA role in the showParents are not only the audience. They can take a role and join the story with their child.
  • A child at home reading beside a miniature streetQuality time at homeA story read at home becomes real time together, with questions to talk about before sleep.
  • Children listening to a story togetherPeace of mindSeeing your child in a screen-free, creative and educational place.

You built it together. Now bring them back.

Many play cafes are run by husband and wife teams. You know the hard part: the first visit is easy, the second is not.

Decor is seen in one visit. A story that continues gives families a reason to return, and every decision in this concept is made for that return.

Then they come back. A different story every day, and a new chapter every month.

When the story holds a fair, so do you

This is what no themed room can do. A musical, a show, a festival or a market: whatever happens in the book happens in your space.

  1. ReadIn this chapter the town gets ready for its Harvest Fair. Families read it at bedtime.
  2. WatchIn the evening, a short film shows children what is waiting on your stage.
  3. LiveWhat they watched last night, they live today. The same fair opens in your space, children take roles and tasks, and parents join in.
  4. StampEvery child leaves with a Harvest Fair stamp and a hint of what happens next.

An example chapter. Stories, characters and events are in preparation.

The body stays. The sign, awning and accessories change, so the market becomes a grocer and the post office becomes a police station. Your space looks new without being rebuilt.

Climb aboard

Airplanes, trains and ships, 3 to 6 feet (1 to 2 m) long. Children ride them into the story, and every voyage ends somewhere on your street.

Then let families take it home

Keep models and books on your own shelf. A child reads the story at home, moves the little figures along the same street, and asks to come back to the real one.

Three books. One story.

Book one begins in the town square. Book two is a different story, down at the harbor. In book three the two stories meet at the station, and children finally see how it all fits together.

  1. Book 1, the town squareThe Bell of OakwickThe fair bell goes missing. The story ends with a train whistle far away.
  2. Book 2, the harbor roadLina's Rainy LetterA different story: a letter with no name, and someone on the way.
  3. Book 3, the roads meetThe Train That WaitedThe whistle and the letter meet at the station, and a new friend steps off the train.
  4. Season finaleEveryone, on your stageEvery character from every book comes together for one big show in your venue.
  • Children can follow itTwo small stories, then one big one. All they need to remember is their friends.
  • Stamps grow a town mapEach story fills in one more part of Oakwick on the passport.
  • The street grows at homeEach story adds a new piece to the model street.

Each book has 10 leaves: 20 pages plus cover, 6 × 6 in (15 × 15 cm), printed in two languages, with read-aloud audio in both.

The same friends, for years

Lina, Milo, Grandpa Oak and Pepper stay the same. Children grow up with them, new friends move into town, and the story simply keeps going, year after year.

Examples

Sample material made for this page, so you can judge the quality before you write to us.

See how it looks

Example: the town of Oakwick

Oakwick is a small wooden town with a square, a clock tower, a bakery, a post office, a toy shop, a station and a harbor. Every story happens here, so children feel they know the place.

Example: four characters

  • Lina, an example characterLinaThe young letter carrier of Oakwick. Curious and brave, she asks what everyone else is thinking.
  • Milo, an example characterMiloA small inventor with a big tool belt. He fixes things, and sometimes breaks them first.
  • Grandpa Oak, an example characterGrandpa OakThe station master. He knows every story in town and always has time to listen.
  • Pepper, an example characterPepperA cheeky red squirrel who borrows things without asking, and learns why that matters.

Example material made for this page. The final town and characters are approved after specialist and family testing.

Example: pages from the book

Lina and Milo beside the fair bell in the town square

The Bell of OakwickA Harvest Fair story

Every fall, the town of Oakwick holds its Harvest Fair. And every fair begins the same way: Grandpa Oak rings the little brass bell.

But this morning, the stand was empty. "Where is the bell?" asked Lina. Milo pushed up his glasses. "Bells don't walk away."

They looked behind the pumpkins. They looked under the crates. Then Milo saw it: a trail of acorn shells, leading out of the square.

The trail ended under the great old oak. High on a branch sat Pepper, hugging the bell. "I only wanted to hear it up close," he whispered. "Then I got scared to tell."

Lina smiled. "Telling the truth is the brave part." So Pepper carried the bell back and rang it himself.

Then, far down the track, a train whistle blew. Who was coming to Oakwick?

Pepper the squirrel on an oak branch with a small bell at dusk

Questions for parents

Life lesson: honesty and sharing.

  1. Why did Pepper take the bell?
  2. How did Lina help Pepper put it right?
  3. Have you ever taken something without asking? What happened?
  4. What would you ring the bell for?

Now come and ring the bell at the Harvest Fair.

Every story comes ready to run

  4. From a small workshop to a factory, step by stepWe started in 2017 with a small workshop, then moved to a bigger one. International sales began in 2018. We kept growing step by step, and today we build in our factory, with three years of full projects behind us.

Meet the maker

Ismail Sari started in 2017 with a small workshop. It grew into a bigger workshop, international sales began in 2018, and step by step the work moved into a factory, with three years of full projects behind it. Along the way: playhouses, play kitchens, indoor play towns and furniture for families, schools, preschools, play cafes and hotels in the US, Canada, the UK and Europe.

Everything is designed in-house, cut on CNC routers and followed from drawing to delivery. Kids Wood Story brings that workshop, its 3D tools and its game studio together in one story.

Questions partners ask first

How much space do we need?

Our concept is designed for about 540 to 4,300 sq ft (50 to 400 m²), and up to 8,600 sq ft (800 m²) with the cafe. Every space is planned on its own. Changed sets store in a small area.

Can you furnish the cafe too?

Yes. With the full concept you get the cafe as well: tables, chairs, cabinets, counter and decor that match the street. With the cafe, a space can reach about 8,600 sq ft (800 m²).

Do our staff need stage experience?

No. Each story comes with a script kit, a simple guide and short videos, so any team member can run a session.

Is it safe for commercial use?

Costumes are washable and made for children. Relevant US children's product, playground, fire and paint requirements are checked for commercial use.

Will the characters change?

No. They keep their names, faces and clothes for years, so children meet the friends they already know. New friends can join the town, and the story keeps going.

Does it replace screens with more screens?

No. Animations and the game are short and lead children toward real play, on your stage and on your street.

What ages is it for?

From 2 to 10. Simple, repeating stories for the youngest and longer stories with tasks for older children, so brothers and sisters can play together.

Do we have to create the content?

No. New stories, books, films, scripts and ready posts come to you. If your team is short of time, we can also make video and social content for you.

Can we post photos of children?

Only with family permission. We give you a simple permission form to use.

How does the partnership work?

A partner agreement covers brand use, content rights and quality standards, so everyone knows where they stand.

What budget do I need?

There is an option for every budget. Turnkey projects run from about $50,000 to $500,000. Tell us what you want to spend and we will plan around it.

How long does it take?

From 2 to 6 months from start to delivery, depending on the size of the project.

Is shipping included?

Yes. Door-to-door shipping to every country is included in the budget ranges.

Is there a warranty?

One year against manufacturing defects. Wear from commercial use is not covered. Details are in the written agreement.

How much can we earn?

We do not promise income figures. Your income lines are birthdays, sessions, books, models, membership and school trips.

How do we pay?

By bank transfer, in stages. Each stage is paid before it starts.

Who assembles it?

On-site installation is optional and not guaranteed: it is not part of any price and we do not promise it. Assembly is done with our illustrated guide and remote support.

Who checks the stories?

A child development specialist reviews every story for content, language and safety.

Where do you start?

The first pilots are in the US, with a few strong partners. Applications are open from every country. Events across Europe and the world come later.

Can we join now?

We are preparing the first US pilots, and pilot partners get a pilot discount. Tell us about your space and we will write back.
